An Internal Pipe Line-up Clamp (IPLC) covers a range of diameters from 6” to 60” and is adjustable for wall thicknesses within the specified range of the IPLC. Based on the pipe specifications (wall thickness, steel quality) the IPLC is adjusted to the required setting.
The IPLC works inside the pipe. Roller-type actuating heads hold the pipe ends to assure an adequate alignment of two pipe joints for external welding. IPLC’s to withstand pipeline spread operations.
The IPLC requires pneumatic power from a compressor. A compressor can either be installed on equipment working on the pipeline spread (e.g. welding tractor, or multipurpose machine) or an independent compressor unit can be supplied.
